REGISTRATION YEAR: Kate A-1 is a facultative and winter wheat variety developed throught introduction metdod by Trakya Agricultural Research Institute in 1988.
MORPHOLOGICAL CHARACTERS: The spike is white, smooth, awnless and compact. The plant height is 95-105 cm. The grain is type long-oval and hard red.
AGRICULTURAL CHARACTERS: The variety is facultative type and drought resistant. It has high grain yield potential genetically; The avarage grain yield is about 5000-7500 kg/ha. Planting rate is between 450-550 g seeds/m2 .
PATHOLOGY CHARACTERS: It is resistance to yellow rust and medium resistant to powdery mildew. It has susceptible to leaf rust and root rot.
GRAIN QUALITY: The grain quality is medium good. 1000 kernel weight is 34-38 g, hectoliter weight is 76-80 kg. protein rate is 11-13%, sedimentation is 35-45 ml, gluten 30-40%. ,
