In order to prepare the field for wheat planting, after the previous year's harvest is done, the field is plowed perpendicular to the slope at a depth of 15-20 centimeters, when the field is neither mud nor dry, and when it is fully shade-annealed (between 15th of October and 15th of November). Disc harrow and rake are used to break the clods formed. If deep plowing is done every few years, hardening of the soil is prevented.
If the field is in a wetland, it would be more appropriate to sow sugar beet in a place where wheat is planted for one year, and wheat the next year on a place where sunflower is planted for one year.
It is very important over time in wheat cultivation. In late sowing or early sowing, both yield decreases and the risk of wheat lying increases. The end of October or the beginning of November are good times for wheat planting.
The ideal row spacing is 15 to 20 centimeters, and the ideal planting depth is 4-5 centimeters. Bread wheat requires an average of 17 kilograms of seeds per acre in planting with a seeder. Durum wheat needs 19 kilograms. If it is done by spreading method, 2-3 kilograms more seeds should be added in these amounts.
